FIVE DAYS. FIVE NEW WAYS TO PLAY.
October starts with your hands on the pieces.
Week one, all in one place. Move things, tap things, stack things. Play each game as often as you like.
The Seating Plan
Six guests in a single row along the window, numbered 1 to 6 from left to right, and a host with opinions. Seat everyone so that every note holds.
Drag a guest onto a seat, or tap a guest and then tap a seat. Tap a seated guest to send them back. When the table is full, lock it in.
The host's notes
Reveal the answer
Seat 1 to 6: Ana, Cleo, Ben, Fay, Dev, Eli.
Dev can't be on an end, and Fay sits beside him, so Eli takes an end seat. Ben must be in seat 2, 3 or 4, and exactly two people sit between Ana and Fay. Testing the options, the only layout that keeps Ana and Ben apart and Cleo left of Dev puts Ana in seat 1 and Fay in seat 4. Dev then takes seat 5, Eli seat 6, Ben seat 3, and Cleo slots into seat 2.
The Heavy Parcel
Nine parcels look identical, but one is slightly heavier. You get the scale twice. Find the heavy one.
Tap a parcel on the shelf to put it on the left pan, tap again for the right, a third time to take it back. Once your weighings are used, tap the parcel you think is heavy, then lock it in.
How to always find it
Split the nine into three groups of three.
Weigh three against three. If one side drops, the heavy parcel is in that group. If they balance, it's in the three you left off. Then take that group and weigh one parcel against another. The heavier one drops, or if they balance, it's the one left over. The heavy parcel moves every time you press "New parcels", so you can try the method again.
Stack Attack
The block slides side to side. Drop it on the stack. Only the overlap stays, so a miss makes the next block smaller. You get 5 runs and your best one counts. Reach the par and you win your wager.
Tap the board or press Space (P pauses). After 5 runs, extra runs are practice only.
Lights Out
The office is closing and the panel is a mess. Each tap flips that light and the lights directly above, below, left and right of it. Turn every light off in 7 taps or fewer. Every tap counts, even after a reset.
Reveal the answer
Tap all four corners, then the centre.
The order doesn't matter, and tapping any light twice cancels itself out, so the fastest fix is always a set of lights tapped once each. The four corner taps switch every corner off. Each edge light gets flipped twice along the way, so the edges stay on. The centre tap then turns off itself and all four edges.
The Pantry Shelf
Six jars, two shelves, and a very particular cook. Put every jar where the notes say it goes.
Drag a jar onto a spot, or tap a jar and then tap a spot. Tap a placed jar to lift it off. When the shelf is full, lock it in.
The cook's notes
Reveal the answer
Top shelf: Tea, Olives, Salt. Bottom shelf: Honey, Pickles, Jam.
Tea sits on top with the Honey directly below it, and the Salt is in a top corner with the Jam directly below. That fills two columns and leaves the middle for the others. The Honey can't go in the middle, so Tea and Honey take one outer column and Salt and Jam the other. The Olives must be right of the Honey, which pushes Honey to the left and Salt to the right. Pickles share the bottom shelf with the Jam, so the Olives go top middle.
